To join us, each user must have:
- A personal, permanent, non-temporary email address, protected by a secure password, according to the rules in this informational article, at this link: https://www.directdemocracys.org/law/rules/activity-rules/email-rules/email-specific-rules . You must always have access to your email address. You can choose to purchase a personalized email address, ending in: directdemocracys.org. This offers numerous advantages and benefits.
- A username, chosen according to the rules in this informational article, at this link: https://www.directdemocracys.org/law/instructions/for-registration/best-username In short, we guarantee everyone the possibility of remaining completely anonymous, using a nickname, or one with the ISO code of their country, followed by random letters and numbers.
- A strong password, to protect your personal profile, according to these detailed rules, presented in this informative article, at this link: https://www.directdemocracys.org/law/instructions/security-measures/the-passwords
- A file to upload to the registration form, depending on your user type. For first-time users, also known as access users, there is a simplified, immediate registration process. You simply need to upload a photo ID to the registration form—we only accept a valid ID card or a valid passport. For partially verified users and registered users, there is a more complete, immediate registration process. You simply need to upload an image file to the registration form, created according to the rules in this informational article, at this link: https://www.directdemocracys.org/law/rules/activity-rules/security-all-rules/file-image . In short, you take a selfie with your face, with a photo ID nearby and clearly visible. We only accept a valid ID card or a valid passport. In any case, we have specific, very detailed rules for minors under 18, which are explained at this link: https://www.directdemocracys.org/law/rules/activity-rules/under-18-rules/under-18-specific-rules
- The transaction number, the deposit payment number, or, as the case may be, the annual fee payment number, depending on the user type you choose.
To register, NO INVITATION IS REQUIRED, there are no long waiting lists (depending on the type of user chosen, the activation times for new users can last approximately 24 hours for registered users, approximately 48 hours for partially verified users, and approximately 96 hours for initial users, called access users), you only have to pay the security deposit, based on these 3 options:
- Initial users, also known as access users, register for free, but must pay a security deposit of €6.25 if you're over 31, or €3.13 if you're under 31. You'll be able to test some of our system's features for a full year, and at the end of the year, you'll receive almost the entire amount back (€4 if you paid €6.25, €2 if you paid €3.13). If you'd like to stay with us, you'll simply use the security deposit to pay an annual fee for the following year (in this case, you won't receive a refund of the new annual fee).
- Partially verified user. Annual fee: €3.13 if you're 31 or older, or €1.57 if you're under 31. Annual fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
- Registered user. Annual fee: €6.25 if you're 31 or older, or €3.13 if you're under 31. Annual fees, once paid, are non-refundable.
Any user is free to request a higher level of membership at any time. There are two very simple ways to do so: a more convenient one is to simply pay a new annual fee for the chosen membership level. If their request is approved, they will receive the higher level of membership immediately, but will continue to do so until the normal expiration of the security deposit, or the previous annual fee, plus the full year paid for the chosen membership level. In practice, they will have the benefits of the higher level of membership until the old payment expires, or until the payment is made.
Brief explanation. Every person who places a security deposit or pays an annual fee puts money into our system. With a security deposit, after a year, you'll receive almost the entire amount back (minus bank fees and a small fee we retain to cover our expenses for managing your money). Therefore, these security deposits are not annual fees that you will never see again, but rather serve to prevent bad behavior and to punish those who violate our fundamental rules (with the total loss of the deposited amount, the blocking of their personal profile, exclusion from our system, and inclusion in the list of non-grateful people), or, for those who repeatedly violate our other rules and instructions (in which case they will lose a portion of the amount, like a normal fine, and in the case of a repeat offense, they will lose the entire amount, their personal profile will be blocked for a certain period of time, and then they can request reactivation of their personal profile by paying a small fee, in addition to an annual fee).
Please note: Each person can only register once and create one initial personal profile. Anyone who creates two or more personal profiles will lose them all upon discovery, as they will be immediately blocked and will be permanently and irrevocably banned from our entire system. In this regard, we remind you that our official members can have two to four (but in the future, even more, based on our decisions and needs) profile types (for example, a political representative profile, to be used if they decide to carry out political representation activities; an institutional profile, if they have higher user types and roles of greater responsibility within our system; a profile for business and investing with us).
At any time, anyone who places a security deposit can request that the deposit be used to pay an annual fee for themselves or for another person. In this case, from the moment they obtain the new user type, they waive the right to receive a full refund (the annual fee will be waived, or, at the user's discretion, the annual fees for themselves or, again at their discretion, for a user of their choice).
But using the money from your annual dues allows you, at the end of the trial year, to voluntarily donate the remaining funds to us, or to anyone within our system, or to purchase goods or services within our system, or to receive a debit card for online purchases anywhere, both within our system and externally, or to receive the remaining funds in various ways, to your IBAN, your credit card, or the account of the company you used to make the payment, or to other companies (with the related fees).
Annual dues, donations, advertising contracts, our economic activities (clearly separated from our political activities), and our collaborations help us to be self-financed and remain forever free, independent, neutral, safe, and incorruptible. Maintaining such a system requires time and hard work from many people, and every person who joins us must do their part, even by paying small but crucial sums.
Anyone who believes that everything can be done for free and remain intact is a dreamer and deluded. Everything has a cost, and always has, but thanks to our method, we will never have problems, we will never be in debt to anyone, and we will always have economic strength. We could have been hypocritical and done as everyone else does, allowing ourselves to be controlled by lobbies and rich, powerful, and famous individuals for financial gain, but that would have meant betraying our ideals. We could have offered you everything for free, only to then bombard you with intrusive advertising, or used, or worse, sold, your personal data, as unfortunately many people and many commercial companies have done.
We've chosen, as is our style, to speak to you directly, explaining all our reasons for each of our decisions, even the most criticized ones—to "sell you freedom and democracy," especially those who envy our system. Our question for you and for them is very simple: do you prefer the old systems, or ours?
