Fire at Le Constellation in Crans-Montana

    Switzerland ZZ rectangle

The fire at Le Constellation in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, on January 1, 2026, caused 40 deaths and numerous injuries. While we have been closely following the entire incident from the very beginning, both online on our platforms and directly through our official members and local groups, we have decided to share something after several days of numerous theories, often based on partial data or, as often happens, unprovable ones. We prefer to have a clearer picture before expressing our opinion on any issue, comprehensively, without exploiting such tragedies for political purposes.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time such incidents have occurred, and if we don't decide to take concrete action together, demanding immediate drastic measures from all political forces and institutions, similar situations could happen again.
First of all, we send all our closeness and compassion to all those who have lost forever one of these dead, who would have had a whole life to live.
We are also very close to all the injured, and to all their families.
It would be very easy to blame, perhaps it wouldn't be wrong to do so, but even if we are pissed off, we must think clearly, trying to offer our solutions, to prevent the repetition of similar tragedies.
First, let's all ask ourselves some questions.
If we had inspected a venue like this before the New Year's Eve party, would it have been authorized to organize such an event? The answer from superficial people, knowing what happened, would be no, it shouldn't have organized such an event.
For the New Year's Eve party, were too many people allowed in, more than authorized? The total number of attendees certainly led to a higher number of deaths and injuries.
If the people inside had been clear-headed, and not almost all drunk, or many of them drugged, could many deaths and injuries have been avoided? We know it's a somewhat silly question, perhaps even banal, because it's logical that on New Year's Eve, partygoers would drink a few glasses of alcoholic beverages. The social and mental aspect, however, is not trivial and should be explored in greater depth, and we will do so at the appropriate time.
If there weren't a culture of appearances, and above all of wanting to document everything, teaching everyone that in similar situations, you shouldn't stand still filming the start of a fire with your smartphone, but you should move away, without causing traffic jams, trying to leave the place.
In this regard, among the many school activities, we should include classes for all classes on prevention and appropriate behavior in various dangerous situations. These would be just a few hours spent usefully, because even one fewer death or injury is worth more than a few "wasted" hours in creating a healthy state of mind and preventive behavior in everyone, not just students, but also retirees and people of all ages. Knowing how to behave in all emergencies is crucial; it's a matter of life and death.
But let's get to the most important aspect of this tragedy, which is always linked to prevention. Our DirectDemocracyS system always favors private property, and we believe it's essential to have fun, to release some of the accumulated tension, stress, and fears for the future. A few hours of carefree fun, dancing, flirting, conversing, and interacting with one another, can only do good. But is it really mandatory to get drunk and take drugs to have fun? What if we started teaching everyone, adults and young people, and even the elderly, that they can have fun without losing control and without engaging in unhealthy habits, including smoking? We don't want to sound too harsh, but we want to organize parties and events, free of alcohol, drugs, and various vices, that are, as our system has always been, innovative and alternative. We want to show everyone that you can still have fun, and perhaps even more, without losing your sanity and without compromising your health.
Even at the risk of losing support, we declare that we prefer users/voters who care about their health and their lives, and who have a clear mind, unimpaired by vices of all kinds. We've discussed this in several of our informative articles published on our websites. We invite you to read them in their entirety, trying to understand our motivations, and you'll surely understand that we do this solely for your own good.
All other systems aren't interested in having so many clear-headed, flawless people, because they fear that clear-headed people will realize how the world really works and perhaps decide that the time has come to make different, better choices, both for themselves and for the entire community. We provide you with a system that certainly loves you more than all the others; it's up to each person to use their own intelligence in the best possible way.
Please note: Our system does not intend to completely prohibit and punish behaviors that are ethically and morally wrong, self-harming, or even potentially dangerous to one's health, provided that such behaviors cannot in any way cause harm to others. In practice, while we discourage behaviors that are certainly harmful, if a person only creates problems for themselves, we believe they are free to do so and to publicly demonstrate their lack of self-respect. However, if they cause harm, or could cause harm to others, we will ensure they are punished in an exemplary manner. To learn our views on the various vices, we recommend reading this informative article at this link:

We didn't want to get political, yet we did, and we apologize to everyone, but it was important to let you know what we think, and offer you our radical solutions, which perhaps will help and save someone. Life is short, and should be used wisely.
Now this is definitely a topic that will piss someone off.
Regardless of the findings of the expert reports, who will explain the causes of the tragedy to us—hopefully in a correct, free, neutral, and complete manner—there is an issue we must address seriously and comprehensively.
Controls on public spaces, and even on private spaces.
It's not enough to conduct periodic checks; we must also monitor who controls, and even who controls, who controls who controls. Everyone rightly criticizes macro-corruption, while many, often for convenience, pretend not to see micro-corruption, which often causes greater damage, and certainly similar to grand corruption.
Eradicating all crime and corruption throughout the world, using all legal and intelligent means, may seem like a utopia or a losing battle, but it is our duty to initiate and carry forward every activity aimed at changing and improving the world.
The first solution to prevent these various tragedies is for everyone to do their job, for which they are paid, exactly as they are supposed to. We are the first to believe that many people, for the work they do, should receive better salaries and bonuses, but if a person is corrupt, even once, they must be punished in an exemplary manner, not only for the damage caused, but for the potential damage that could have occurred elsewhere, due to their sloppy work and their corruption. As soon as a corrupt person is discovered, all their previous activities must be checked, not only to find other instances of corruption, but to seriously analyze all their work, to efficiently prevent any potential problems.
There's a lot of controversy surrounding our style, the constant checks, and even the need for constant integrity checks for everyone, at every level, from the highest to the lowest. It's not impossible to do, it costs next to nothing, and the benefits are so obvious they're not even worth listing. They're advantages for everyone, which will obviously scare, and will never be good for, those who are corrupt, at any level. Perhaps in this case too, we risk losing some supporters, who fear they can no longer conduct illegal business, perhaps causing a tragedy like the recent one, and many others.
Because, dear friends: until a tragedy strikes, everything is fine. Those who manage unauthorized spaces (we're speaking generally, not specifically) continue to do business, even putting other people's lives at risk (we repeat, we're not discussing the specific case). And those who should be monitoring continue to earn a few bucks, and even more gifts, by pretending to monitor (we repeat, we're not discussing the specific case). It would be enough to have only incorruptible people to prevent any potential problems, because there are already enough natural disasters, difficult to predict, that there's no need for further risky behavior.
At DirectDemocracyS, we constantly verify the integrity and corruptibility of all our users, continually tempting them with money, gifts, and undeserved advantages. But we do this from the very beginning, with our cards on the table, that is, by openly declaring it: in our system, the checks are continuous, complete, and repetitive. At first glance , it might seem excessive, an overly demanding system, demanding reliability, loyalty, honesty, and competence from everyone, with similar preventative security measures. Now reread the previous sentences and think about how many problems would be solved, worldwide, if all systems operated this way? After all, our grandparents used to say: do no evil, fear nothing. Those who commit no illegal act have nothing to fear from any integrity check, and from any type of check on themselves, their family, their friends, and their contacts.
Generally, only those with "skeletons in the closet" complain about these constant checks, and for them, DirectDemocracyS will never be a good idea, because we expect everyone to play their part in the best possible world. It may take a long time, but sooner or later, everyone will understand that we are right, and that others are wrong, in allowing such catastrophes to occur, which could perhaps have been avoided with prevention.
